While not knocking me unconsious, I did feel like I had just had about 5 pints of beer and the whole experience of getting the 2 fillings proved to be no problem at all. Just by listening to them talking on was always on the verge of crying. filling in Spain and was told to go straight to the dentist when I when I went home..I..I am delighted to be able to write this message and I know people with 'real phobias' will read it and think 'really'? The longer I left it, the more I felt that I would lose nearly every tooth in my head etc.He looked at my teeth that day, took a brillant 'xray' shot of them and spoke to me basically. He gave me inhaling gas that day which really, really worked and I went home with one filling done......I'll keep you posted, just as soon as I'm back to normal! if you look hard enough you will find a dentist in Ireland who will give intra. I went to the dentist to have a tooth out with the knowledge that I was going to use sedatin but in the end he was so reassuring I didn't need it and this is soming from someone who was scared stupid of the dentist. i have not been to a dentist in twenty years I dread it now my teeth are in a dreadful state in my mid 30'S but a bad experience of running out of a dental hospital when i was 12 stops me from going and getting any treatment Some years ago I had two very bad experiences with the same dentist.
I've been making appointments getting to the doors and legging it. I went to see him last week for a quick visit, to see what had to be done, and I'm going back tomorrow to get the works! It is not permitted to advertise dentist names on this site...sorry Hi, I've just been reading your comments, and I haven't been to a dentist in over 2 yrs. Anyway, I'd be grateful if you could recommend someone good in Dublin city centre area - IF we can name names? The best is to be knocked out - but what dentist will do this just to look at your teeth? Then you have to be conscious for them to take a mould of your teeth with that horrible purple goo which makes me want to retch AND when they're doing the final fitting of the crowns you have to be conscious in order to be able to "bite down" to ensure they fit.I am still nervous though I have never passed on my fears to any of my children as I sit outside in the waiting room for them.At the moment, my dentist is monitoring my wisdom teeth and I am in dread of getting them out. When I was about five, the first time I ever went, I got a filling.
